How To Teach Your Dog To Walk On A Leash Without Pulling!!!

Dear Reader,

This is a easy thing to teach any dog to do. The technique was taught to me by another animal trainer with 40 years experience whom wishes to remain nameless. She calls this tecnique "Pop and Release".You need a chain training collar that fits. The collar should fit snuggly around the dog's head when you put it on. I should have about 3 to 6 inches slack when it is around the dogs neck. After you have put the training collar on, you must then take off the flat collar if your dog wears one for every day use. Put the flat collar back on after training if you want and then take off the training collar. To start training, put the dog in a sit with the sit command. If your dog doesn't sit on command teach him or her. Make the dog sit and then say "Sit!". After a few times your dog will learn to sit on command. After your dog is sitting walk around to the right side of your dog, so the dog is on your left side faceing in the same direction as you. hold the loop of the leash in your right hand and with your left hand hold the leash close to the dog's neck. Leave enough slack so that the dog can walk 8 inches from your side.Say "Fido Heal!" and pop the training collar as you step out on your left foot and begin to walk. When the dog is walking beside you correct him or her every time they make a mistake with a "Pop and Release". Do not strangle the dog. Simply "Pop and Release" to correct the dog. Here is the technique. When the dog's head turns left and you want him or her to go straight pop the collar to the right to correct the dog's direction of travel and release. If the dog wants to put his head down to sniff, lift the dogs head up with a pop, then say nooooo and release. The "Pop and Release" tecnique takes a little time, patience and persistance but it works very well when used correctly. Please email me with any questions you may have. I will be happy to answer them.Sincerely Yours and God Bless!!!, Monty Doggy
